In this exclusive and no-holds-barred interview with Daily Lens News, public affairs analyst, Dr. Faisal Mohammed, delivers a powerful assessment of the performance of the member representing Michika/Madagali Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Zakaria Dauda Nyampa.
Speaking candidly, Dr. Mohammed describes Nyampa as a lawmaker whose performance has not only exceeded expectations but has also set a benchmark many struggle to match in Adamawa State.

DLN: How would you assess Hon. Zakaria Nyampa’s performance so far?
Dr. Faisal Mohammed:
Let me be very direct—Hon. Zakaria Nyampa is not just performing; he is dominating in terms of impact.
At a time when many representatives are still trying to find their footing, Nyampa has already established himself as a results-driven leader. His work speaks loudly across Michika and Madagali, and the evidence is everywhere.
This is what real representation looks like—visible, measurable, and people-centered.
DLN: What exactly makes his approach different?
Dr. Faisal Mohammed:
He understands that leadership is about people, not politics. While others focus on rhetoric, Nyampa is focused on results.
Take his empowerment programmes for example—these are not token gestures. Hundreds of youths and women have been trained in practical skills like tailoring, baking, agriculture, and more.
But he didn’t stop there—he ensured they received starter packs and financial support. That is how you build independence, not dependency.
He has also distributed tricycles, business support funds, and agricultural inputs. These are deliberate economic interventions, not random acts.
DLN: What about his development projects?
Dr. Faisal Mohammed:
His infrastructural footprint is undeniable. From classroom construction to rural road improvements and healthcare support, his projects are directly improving everyday life.
These are not political promises—they are realities on ground.

And what impresses me even more is his forward-thinking mindset. He is not just solving today’s problems; he is positioning the constituency for long-term economic growth.
DLN: How active is he legislatively?
Dr. Faisal Mohammed:
Extremely active. He has sponsored and supported key bills that address institutional development, employment, and economic expansion.
Many lawmakers struggle to balance Abuja politics with constituency needs. Nyampa has mastered both—and that is rare.

DLN: How has he handled security and humanitarian concerns?
Dr. Faisal Mohammed:
With seriousness and compassion. Coming from a region affected by insurgency, he has consistently pushed for reconstruction, security reinforcement, and support for displaced persons.
He is not disconnected from the realities of his people—and that matters.
DLN: Some say he is the best-performing Rep in Adamawa. Do you agree?
Dr. Faisal Mohammed:
Without hesitation—yes.
When you objectively assess performance—empowerment, infrastructure, legislative work, accessibility—he stands clearly ahead.
Others may be present, but Nyampa is impactful. There is a difference.
DLN: What are people on the ground saying?
Dr. Faisal Mohammed:
The feedback from constituents has been overwhelmingly positive.
A youth beneficiary in Michika told Daily Lens News:
“This is the first time we are seeing real empowerment that changes lives, not just promises.”
A local trader in Madagali also said:
“Hon. Nyampa is always close to the people. He listens and he acts. That is why we trust him.”
Another community member added:
“His projects are visible everywhere. You don’t need to be told—just look around.”
DLN: Final words?
Dr. Faisal Mohammed:
Hon. Zakaria Nyampa represents a new standard of leadership—one built on action, not noise.
If others in public office were to operate at this level of commitment and delivery, governance in Nigeria would take a completely different turn.
For now, in Adamawa State, he is not just part of the system—he is setting the pace.
We look forward to 2027 with confidence
